Richmond opaque china was manufactured by Sampson Hancock potteries in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. Established in 1891 by Sampson Hancock a prominent Wesleyan Methodist.
"OPAQUE CHINA" was a trade name made between 1891-1935, but judging by the flow ware-type design we would say this is was Victorian c1890’s. A very sweet little tureen with its lid (which has been mended) and its little serving dish. Planted with Bacopa whch will keep flowering throughout summer.
All our plants are accompanied with detailed care instructions and packed up carefully in compostable recycled boxes packed with straw and shipped with an overnight courier service.
