Cyclamen Coums are very special little cyclamens with there heart-shaped leafs and sweet little flowers. Thy're perennial and so can be planted out into the garden so that they can flower for years to come.
This 4.5" pot was made by Jim Keeling between 1976-1981 at the Middle Barton pottery where he began the now famous Whichford Pottery with his wife Dominique. Jim completed an apprenticeship at Wrecclesham Pottery, Farnham, where he had taken over the kickwheel of a potter called Harry who had only just retired aged 83! At a time when many country potteries where failing, Absalom Harris established Wrecclesham Pottery in 1874 with a specialism in flowerpots; suppling enormous quantities of plain pots to nurseries and large estates. The workshop Jim trained in had changed little since those early days.
The success of Jim's pottery made at Middle Barton soon meant that they outgrew their location and moved to their purpose-built home in Warwickshire where they are still located. Whichford Pottery is now one of the biggest hand made potteries in Europe and their pots are well-loved by discerning gardeners all over the world.
