A Mason's ironstone fruit bowl in the rare 'Mikado' pattern and made for Nerlich & Co, a Canadian importer of European china and glassware between 1910 and 1920. The pattern on this bowl is not as colourful as the other examples of 'Mikado' we have seen, but is very pretty with an orange scalloped edge and pleasing shape.

Measuring 8cm high with a diamter of 23cm, we have filled the inner pot with a mixture of Tete a Tete bulbs and Muscari 'Early Bird' which will flower in late winter until the spring. The bowl is in good condition apart from a small nibble on the edge and some fading colours commensurate with age.

We include the provenance along with detailed care instructions for growing hyacinths.  The bulbs can be re-planted to flower again next season, and the bowl can be re-used as a bulb planter or for the table. The perfect sustainable way to to have scented flowers in your home over winter and nothing single-use about any element!

Our potted plants makes the perfect gift and come with a personalised gift card carefully packed in our compostable recycled straw boxes and shipped overnight throughout the UK with the option of our very pretty handblocked tissue paper and vintage velvet ribbon gift wrapping.

We continue to use DHL until Royal Mail has sorted out their backlogs.
